On 4 June 2026, Galicia held its second regional workshop in Santiago de Compostela, bringing together stakeholders to advance work on climate risk modelling and the development of innovative adaptation solutions.

A key milestone of the event was the establishment of the Regional Adaptation Board and the launch of the Climate Innovation Hub. Participants agreed on how to continue building an open, dynamic community and to develop a living platform for dialogue, collaboration and shared learning.

Throughout the workshop, participants demonstrated a strong spirit of cooperation, openly sharing knowledge and experiences while working towards common adaptation goals. Researchers, public authorities, civil society organisations and businesses all contributed their expertise, united by a shared ambition to better understand the climate risks facing Galicia and to co-design innovative, place-based solutions.

Beyond the technical progress achieved, the enthusiasm and commitment of participants stood out as the workshop's greatest success. Their willingness to collaborate provides a strong foundation for accelerating climate adaptation and strengthening Galicia's resilience to future climate challenges.
