Real-world laboratories for systemic climate resilience

SystR works with six pilot sites across Europe - three demonstration sites, each paired with a replication site facing similar climate adaptation challenges:

• Guadeloupe (France) paired with Galicia (Spain)
• Banská Bystrica (Slovakia) paired with Strasbourg (France)
• Rome (Italy) paired with Aigaleo (Greece)

The demonstration sites will co-design and implement integrated ecosystems of resilience solutions, while the replication sites will adapt and validate these approaches in their own contexts. 

Together, the six territories form real-world laboratories for designing, testing, and adapting systemic resilience pathways. This approach ensures SystR’s methods are practical, scalable, and grounded in diverse local realities, accelerating the uptake of cross-sectoral climate adaptation across Europe.
