SystR joins Europe’s urban resilience community at EURESFO 2026
SystR partners joined this year’s European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO) in Guimarães, Portugal, bringing the project’s perspective on systemic approaches for climate resilience into a wider European conversation. The event gathered more than 420 participants from 42 countries to exchange experiences and explore how cities and regions can better prepare for increasingly complex climate challenges.
The forum provided a valuable opportunity to connect with practitioners, researchers and policymakers from across Europe. From governance and climate adaptation to risk management and collaborative approaches, EURESFO reinforced the importance of looking beyond individual actions and considering the wider systems in which resilience is built. The ideas and experiences shared throughout the forum strongly resonate with SystR’s mission to strengthen regional resilience pathways and support communities as they navigate complex climate challenges.
This year’s forum offered a valuable opportunity to engage with Europe’s resilience community and exchange ideas with peers working towards the same goal. We’re already looking forward to returning next year, when we’ll be able to share the progress, lessons learned and emerging results from our six pilot regions as the project continues to advance.
